TGIF at GReads! (1)

TGIF is a weekly meme hosted by Ginger at GReads! Each week she posts a new questions for her followers to answer.

This week's question: What are some of your reading goals for the new year?

I have various reading and blogging goals that I'm hoping to tackle in 2012:
1. I want to read 100 books by the end of the year. I read 75 last year without really trying to meet a goal, so I think 100 will be attainable.

2. I need to learn how to schedule posts. I mean, I technically know how to do it. I'm just terrible at planning what I'm going to post in advance. With grad school starting again in two weeks, I have to be more organized.

3. Get to know other bloggers. I've been blogging off and on since June, but I still don't feel like I know any other bloggers very well. I'm hoping to change that this year. I'm shy though, so we shall see how that goals.

4. I want to meet my goals for the Debut Author Challenge, Completely Contemp Challenge, and the Sophomore Reading Challenge. You can read about those on my Challenges page.

Those are the major goals I'm planning to accomplish this year. Do you have any reading goals that you're trying to tackle? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Yeah, I know what you mean with graduate school starting again in 2 weeks. I start on the 17th and I've been such a lazy blogger during my break I have nothing scheduled. I really need to work on that! Great goals.

  2. Wow, lots of people are aiming to read more than 100 books this year. My goal is 50 this year - I'm thinking if I manage to become a faster reader, I might double it in 2013. :)

New follower! Here's my TGIF post:

  4. It's a pleasure to meet you! I think getting to know fellow bloggers is one of the best parts about book blogging - I've made some pretty great friendships because of our common interest.

  5. I'm glad I didn't start blogging until after I was finished with grad school -- I don't think I could have handled that extra. :) So - I admire that you're doing it!!

  6. Sophie - I've tried to read faster, but I just don't enjoy the books as much when I do that. I'm just going to read as many as I can at my own speed. Thanks for stopping by :)

Jo - I haven't been very consistent or organized so far, but I'm trying! It's a nice break from schoolwork haha

Rie - That's when my program starts as well. I wish it started one week later, because I really want to go to John Green's blog tour stop next week! Thanks for stopping by :)

Alexa - It's nice to meet you too! Everyone I've talked too in the blogging community has been nice so far. It's great to talk with people who really *get* my love of books. Thanks for stopping by my blog, I'll come check out yours :)
